Customer Opinion:
The yardages are reported to be accurate, within a yard or two of the course markers on the courses.
The AutoShot and club tracking feature and both seem to work flawless. The S20 watch automatically detects every shot with the exception of green side chips and putts.
The Garmin S20 also it automatically pops up a prompt asking you to enter your score, number of putts, and whether you hit the fairway When it detects you have walk onto the green.
Users like the ability to download round information to the Garmin Connect app for further analysis of the game.
Lastly, club tracking is considered to be a cool feature. As a user reported; “If it’s enabled, the watch knows you’ve just hit a shot and will ask you which club you just hit, so it can track it…” It does remarkable well at figuring out which club you just hit and makes it the first choice. The S20 will ask you to confirm the club selected and you simply press OK to confirm.

Bottom Line
The Garmin Approach S20 GPS Watch is quite similar to an older S models, but Garmin have finally offered this newer model at a better price. It is also available in sveral color choices such as black, slate and teal and looks a bit more like a smartewatch than a golf GPS watch.
The most important features of the Garmin S20 include the auto shot feature and distances to hazards and targets such as clearing the hazard. And you are most likely to really appreciate the battery life; it is absolutely exceptional at about double the life of previous models.
